Support Kits to Ease the Burden of Displacement on Women in Tulkarm

Displaced women in the Tulkarm Governorate have received support kits containing essential items sufficient for several months. These kits contribute to meeting their basic needs and alleviating the living burdens resulting from displacement. Each kit benefits more than one woman or girl within the same household, thereby strengthening their resilience amid current circumstances.

This intervention was implemented by the Directorate of Social Development in Tulkarm Governorate, under the supervision and follow-up of H.E. the Minister of Social Development, and in partnership with the Tulkarm Governorate and the Women’s Centre for Legal Aid and Counselling. A total of 40 support kits were distributed to displaced and affected women.

This activity comes within the Ministry’s broader efforts to strengthen the social protection system and prioritize women and girls—particularly displaced women and survivors of violence—by incorporating programs and activities aimed at improving their access to protection, care, and comprehensive support services under the 2026 plan.

It is worth noting that the Ministry had previously distributed 770 support kits to displaced women in Jenin Governorate as part of joint efforts to respond to the needs of affected women.
