The Ministry of Social Development Forms a Committee to Develop a Guide for Preventing Corruption in Humanitarian Aid

The Ministry of Social Development announces the formation of a specialized committee composed of its staff to prepare a comprehensive guide aimed at organizing and governing the aid sector. This initiative seeks to prevent any possibility of corruption at any stage of the humanitarian aid delivery process. The committee's tasks include identifying all partners working in the field of humanitarian aid, collecting relevant laws, regulations, and procedures, and establishing eligibility criteria for the financial and in-kind assistance provided by the Ministry.

In this context, the committee will collaborate with experienced entities in the field to develop a system that ensures fairness and transparency in aid distribution. The committee will also formulate an implementation plan for the new system in cooperation with specialized consultants and prepare a capacity-building program to promote adherence to this framework. Additionally, the committee will submit periodic reports to the Minister of Social Development and Relief, Dr. Samah Hamad, reflecting the progress of this system, which comes as part of the Ministry's efforts to enhance integrity and transparency and to ensure that aid reaches its rightful beneficiaries efficiently and effectively.
