The Ministry of Social Development Develops and Publishes a Guide on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities in Braille

In recognition of its efforts to support the rights of persons with disabilities, the Ministry of Social Development, represented by the Al-Alayeh Resource Center for Individuals with Visual Difficulties, has printed a guide on the rights of persons with disabilities in Braille. This initiative comes within the framework of the Ministry's commitment to the Basic Law and relevant international agreements.

The Minister of Social Development, Dr. Samah Hamd, emphasized the Ministry's special attention to the needs of all beneficiaries, particularly persons with disabilities. She highlighted the importance of facilitating their access to their needs and rights, thereby enhancing their active participation in society. She added that the Ministry is working to provide all necessary resources to ensure this group can live with dignity and independence.

The Palestinian Center for the Independence of the Judiciary and the Legal Profession (MUSAWA) expressed its profound gratitude and appreciation for this initiative, which represents significant support, especially for persons with visual disabilities. The guide printed in Braille will contribute to raising awareness among beneficiaries and empowering them to better understand their rights, making it easier for them to claim them.

The Center stressed the importance of deepening joint cooperation between the Ministry and relevant institutions to benefit the Palestinian people, particularly persons with disabilities.
