عمَان/ وقعت وزيرة التنمية الاجتماعية د. سماح حمد مع نظيرتها الأردنية وفاء بني مصطفى، مذكرة تفاهم في مجال التنمية الاجتماعية، تشمل التعاون المشترك وتبادل الخبرات في خدمات الحماية والرعاية الاجتماعية، ومجالات التنمية الاجتماعية والتطوير المؤسسي، والإجراءات القانونية والإغاثية.
واستمعت الوزيرة من نظيرتها الأردنية إلى إيجاز حول الأدوار والمسؤوليات التي تقوم بها وزارة التنمية الاجتماعية الأردنية في الحفاظ على البنية الاجتماعية. وأشادت بتجربة وزارة التنمية الاجتماعية الأردنية التي وصفتها بأنها ناضجة، لافتةً إلى أهمية تبادل الخبرات بين وزارة التنمية الاجتماعية ونظيرتها الأردنية.
وقدمت موجزاً عن عمل الوزارة في ظل الظروف الصعبة التي تتعرض لها فلسطين، والتوجهات الاستراتيجية الجديدة، والتحديات التي تعترض سبيل العمل الاجتماعي في فلسطين. وأكدت على استعداد وزارتها للتعاون والتنسيق وتبادل التجارب والخبرات مع وزارة التنمية الاجتماعية في الأردن الشقيق.

Minister of Social Development Participates in Youth Dialogue Hosted by the Palestinian Vision Organization
Ramallah – Minister of Social Development and Minister of State for Relief Affairs, Dr. Samah Hamad, participated in a youth dialogue session organized by the Palestinian Vision Organization as part of the "Atad" project, funded by the Representative Office of Finland. The event gathered a group of young participants from the governorates of Jerusalem, Nablus, and Salfit. The session witnessed active engagement from the youth, who discussed various challenges facing women in the labor market and social life. They also proposed ideas for developing programs that enhance opportunities for Palestinian women across different sectors. During the session, one of the young women took on the role of Minister of Social Development, presenting her vision on the issues discussed and engaging in a dialogue about developmental policies. Ms. Hiba Jebait, Director of the Women's Unit at the Ministry, highlighted the services provided by the Ministry to protect and empower women. She explained that the Ministry’s strategic plan includes programs aimed at supporting abused women, survivors of violence, and mothers who serve as the primary breadwinners for their families. She also pointed out that the Ministry implements the National Referral System for abused women, which establishes reporting and case management mechanisms based on risk levels. She stressed the importance of youth awareness about these mechanisms to enable them to become part of the community-based protection and support network. The session also explored ways to enhance collaboration between the Ministry and the Palestinian Vision Organization to support youth and involve them in shaping developmental policies and programs. In this context, Dr. Hamad emphasized the critical role of technology in shaping the future of Palestinian youth. She encouraged participants to invest in developing their digital and language skills, pursue self-learning, and leverage modern tools such as artificial intelligence to expand their opportunities in the labor market. The Minister commended the Palestinian Vision Organization for its active role in engaging youth in social change and sustainable development. She reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to advancing policies and programs that promote the protection and empowerment of women and youth, both economically and socially, in collaboration with local and international partners.

Minister of Social Development Dr. Samah Hamad Visits "Wujud" Autism Center in Tulkarm as Part of Ministerial Delegation
Tulkarm – Minister of Social Development and Minister of State for Relief Affairs, Dr. Samah Hamad, visited the "Wujud" Center for the Rehabilitation of Children with Developmental Disorders in Tulkarm Governorate. The visit took place as part of a ministerial delegation led by Minister of Local Government, Dr. Sami Al-Hajawi, and included Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, Eng. Hani Hayek, as well as the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Social Development, Mr. Taha Al-Irani. During the visit, the administration of the "Wujud" Center provided the ministerial delegation with an overview of the diverse services offered to children. The center provides a comprehensive range of rehabilitative, educational, psychological, and therapeutic services, including physiotherapy, occupational therapy, psychological support sessions, special education programs, and the development of life and social skills. These services aim to empower children to integrate into society and enhance their independence. The center currently serves approximately 50 children through the Ministry’s service-purchasing program, in addition to others enrolled in its various programs. Dr. Hamad explained that the service-purchasing system enables children to access appropriate rehabilitative and educational services through the Ministry’s contracts with specialized centers. This initiative aligns with the Ministry’s vision of supporting the most vulnerable groups and promoting equal opportunities for children with disabilities. It also reflects the government’s commitment to strengthening partnerships with institutions working in the disability sector to ensure service sustainability and quality improvement. Dr. Hamad emphasized the importance of supporting and empowering children with developmental disorders by providing them with an appropriate educational and rehabilitative environment. She reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to continuing all possible support for these institutions to improve the lives of children and their families and enhance their role in Palestinian society. At the conclusion of the visit, the minister and the delegation commended the efforts of those managing the center. They stressed the need to strengthen cooperation between official bodies and specialized centers to ensure the provision of high-quality and sustainable services for children with special needs.
